The Cause:

Since the conflict erupted in March 2011, Syria has witnessed unprecedented devastation and displacement. According to the UN, more than five million Syrians have fled the country and almost seven million are internally displaced. With more than 14 million people in need of assistance, the conflict has caused untold suffering. Displaced families face the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic amid rising prices in light of the current economic recession.

The Programme: Assistance for  Syrian Refugees

Tearfund Ireland work with our partners who are supporting and training thousands of Syrian Refugees in Lebanon.  Food vouchers, hygiene kits, educational supports and Child Friendly Spaces are some of the ways we are working in Lebanon.

Fundraising for Assistance for Syrian Refugees

This is a long term commitment and the need is great.  We want to raise as money as possible.  Specifically, we are targeting €50,000 each year over the next 3 years.
