Cyclone Idai has affected more than 1.5 million people in the three southern African countries of Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe. Homes, schools, businesses, hospitals and police stations have been destroyed. Roads have been washed away and thousands are stranded by heavy flooding.
Tearfund Ireland are planning to respond alongside International and local partners with access to areas worst affected. Can you help? In a response like this a gift of €45 can provide a family with an emergency supply kit containing hygiene items and basic food essentials. We have approached and are working with Irish Aid to help release stockpiles of emergency items set aside by the Irish government to respond quickly to international disasters like this. Can I ask you to please give generously to help us reach as many people as possible?
Please prayerfully consider how you could respond at this time to bring practical help and hope to some of the world’s poorest people.
Please also pray for everyone affected by Cyclone Idai, this link will bring you to a prayer resource that you can use personally or as part of a church prayer group.
Thank you so much for your support for our work.
