Around the world one in eight people go to bed hungry, 46 million people are living in modern day slavery, over 65 million people have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict and every day people are dying due to drought, flooding and man made disaster.

It does not have to be this way. We have been called to speak up, with and on behalf of people who are marginalised and living in desperate poverty. And we believe that change can happen. But that change has to happen at both grassroots levels and at government level.

We believe that there is power in numbers, we believe in the collective voice of people and we believe that power structures that keep people marginalised and living in poverty can be reversed. But to do this we need YOU-we need your voices–your actions. We need you to call on your politicians, MEPs, your elected representatives. We need fair policies and legislation so people living in poverty are afforded the best chance to change their circumstances and are protected by the laws and structures that govern them.
